Fonts and typography

Choosing fonts, using Google Fonts, and what to do when a font change does not show up.

Setting fonts#

Fonts are part of the theme. Ask for them by name:

Use Inter for body text and Playfair Display for headings.

Google Fonts are supported by name. If you name a font that isn't available, you'll get the closest reasonable match rather than a broken screen — so if precision matters, confirm what actually got applied.

The type scale#

You can steer the scale in words:

Make the headings a size larger and tighten the line height. The body copy is too small — bump it to 17px.

If a font change doesn't appear#

This is a known class of problem worth checking deliberately: the theme can update while the stylesheet that loads the font doesn't. Symptom: the design says it's using a font that clearly isn't rendering.

  1. Reload the project.
  2. Re-apply the font change in chat and watch the canvas, not the tool result.
  3. If it still doesn't render, contact support with the project link and the font name.

Custom and licensed fonts#

Self-hosted and licensed fonts aren't uploaded directly today. The practical route is to pick the nearest Google Font while designing, then swap to your licensed face after export — in Figma, in your codebase, or in the published site's CSS.
